No one is fully prepared for any loss especially when it's a loved one that they see is suffering. However, there are many ways in which to help, and here is the most important suggestion based on an article I read from the mariecurie.org website.
Suggesting an activity or calling when the person finds themselves in the hardest of times. The most difficult I have seen so far is in the mornings and at bedtime. Those moments when the person lays awake thinking about the loss or soon-to-be loss can be devastating.
An example of helping can be taking the person for a walk, watching a movie together or just having a chat about what is going on in the world. It also helps when doing or talking about things that bring remembrance of the person who they are grieving. It might be a funny story or looking at old photos. Whatever the support lent it will be greatly appreciated.

This is a tough one.how does one come to terms of the loss of a love ? I agree with you Kelsha those are some beautiful ways of spending quality time with that person. It’s important to never feel alone. Surround yourself with love and positivity while being that support the individual needs.
