Living in a Barbie World

I am just a normal girl poised to live in a world full of barbies who struggles with expectations that are always unrealistic. It is okay to be normal, it's okay to be a Barbie girl. Our experiences are in no way unique, and we both know what it feels like to fail. Society have poured the expectation of success to only the Barbie lifestyle but us "normies" do thrive to the point where we are utterly convinced there is an invincibility about us. We are are both at the point where every aspect of our lives seems to be right on track. Our successes and failures are all intertwined. Through these times at seperate but familiar realms, we learn to grow stronger and ultimately better. Though Barbie seems confident of her body and looks incredible in her jeans, us "normies" have our moments too. It might be a glance in the mirror at our messy hair or a bra fitting the right way that day. What bonds us is that on that familiar day we know we look sensational in our own ways. It is then that we embrace this empowerment of womanhood, self-worth and desires. I am proud to say, I am a "normie" living in a Barbie world accomplishing Barbie dreams while breaking glass ceilings.
